The Daily Mail was doing a full court press all day monday and tuesday. Playing the British equivalent of Welfare Queens up as much as possible, trying to rekindle the flames of outrage in the tories' base.
It was pretty lulzy.
"Here's a story about a 40 year old man who is on unemployment benefits and has been for 7 years. With this money he buys booze to self-medicate his personality disorder that lets him qualify for these benefits. His wife had her first child when she was 14 and they are on number 7 now. And one of his kids had a baby as well. She was 15. It's biracial. We kept the father out of the picture. Also this guy is outraged that his 18 year old gets less money even though she's still living at home. He says it's unfair."
